Definition:
The word "Curriculum Vitae" is a Latin word. Its meaning is life story.
generally a CV is used to sell yourself to the employer. The CV demonstrate one's entire professional life history, educational background, skills etc in short. A good CV always helps a candidate to gain first impression at first meeting or without meeting and also helps the employer to find out the exact candidate for whom they are looking in short time.
One should follow the rules below at the time of making a CV.
Should do:
1. As we know a CV gives the first introduction of a candidate so the grammar and spelling need to be correct. In many cases candidates make spelling mistake at the time of writing the word Curriculum Vitae at the top of the CV.
2. Always try to write your CV unique so that your CV can catch the interest of the employers on you.
3. Always start your CV providing your name, address, date of birth etc ( in short personal details).
4. Try to make a CV of 1 to 2 pages.
5. Font size, font face are need to be clear so that any body can read the content of your CV easily.
6. Work experience is the vital part of your CV. So be careful at this section of the CV. Always provide the current employers and old employers details and their phone number with proper address.
7. Educational section is also very important. Write your educational details step my step with year of passing, percentage of marks etc.
8. Always provide your educational details, working experience details gradually.
9. write that think at the subject interest section on those you are really strong. Generally the interview executives will ask you question looking this part of your curriculum vitae.
10. Several times we forget to provide our own phone number, email ID etc at our CV. But this is very important. With out this the employer can not be able to contact you. So this section is very important.
11. Provide your project details in short but it should to cover all.
12. Write a curriculum vitae following the requirement of the employer. It means for what qualities the employers looking.
Should not do:
1. Do not use too many the font faces, font colors, font sizes in a single CV.
2. Always provide your details gradually. Not in frequent manner.
3. Do not use a font-face, font-color or font size so that others get trouble to read it.
4. A CV is something that will give short description of the interview candidate. So do not make CV of huge number of pages.
